Boat Charters
Let Murphy’s on the Water help you plan the perfect event. We have the facilities, the staff, and the experience needed to help make your event unforgettable. All of our vessels are available for private charters at any time of the day for groups up to 200 people. Full catering and bar service is available. Restaurant Bookings
Murphy’s Restaurant offers a unique and picturesque setting for any function. Our restaurant is available for private and semi-private bookings. For a sit-down meal we can accommodate up to 300 people and for stand-up receptions our capacity is 400. We offer full catering and bar service, event planning, and stage facilities. On and Off Site Catering
At Murphy’s on the Water we pride ourselves on making every event a success. Our experienced special events coordinators will work with you from conception through the execution offering ideas, advice, and support to ensure that your event is right for you. Lobster Dinner
Treat your group to a Maritime lobster feast in either Murphy’s Restaurant or on one of our vessels. Lobster is a Maritime delicacy that has been a specialty of ours for over 20 years. Included for large groups is our special lobster presentation and parade including a demonstration of the correct method for eating a lobster. Something not to be missed. Dinner Cruise
Dine with us aboard the Harbour Queen I, a Mississippi style sternwheeler that takes you on a tour of the waters of Halifax Harbour while you enjoy a delicious buffet dinner. The lower deck of the Harbour Queen is fully enclosed and heated for your comfort. Contact us for more information on booking the dinner cruise.

Corona Party Cruise
Experience Halifax at night while you dance and party with friends aboard the Harbour Queen I. Guests will spend two and a half hours cruising the waters of Halifax harbour while enjoying music from our house band and beverages from our fully licensed cash bar.
The Party Cruise operates regularly scheduled tours on Friday and Saturday nights from June through September.  Groups can arrange for the purchase of a block of tickets, and have the option of a cash bar or purchasing drink tickets to be distributed among their group. Theme Cruises
When booking a charter consider customizing your event with a theme. Our special events coordinators can provide you with ideas or help make your idea a reality. Themes could include Hawaiian cruises, Retro night, or a Costume party and can be executed seamlessly on one of our vessels or in our restaurant facility. Entertainment
Murphy’s on the Water offers a wide variety of entertainment options on all our vessels and in our restaurant facility. Groups can choose from our available options, bring us your own ideas, or challenge our special events coordinators to develop new ideas especially for you.

Maritime Band: Choose from many maritime bands to play to your hearts delight.

DJ: Murphy’s on the Water will provide a DJ or you can bring your own.

Order of the Sou’ Wester Ceremony: The ceremony begins with the arrival of the Town Crier to welcome your group. Each member of the group is given their own Sou’ Wester to wear and an ounce of rum to drink. To end the ceremony everyone receives a certificate with his or her name on it.

Bag Piper: Your can have a traditional Nova Scotian Bag Piper march your group into Murphy’s Restaurant.

Sou’ Westers
The Sou’ Wester is a traditional yellow rain hat, which can be customized with your company logo printed on them for a maritime souvenir or used as part of the Order of the Sou’ Wester Ceremony.
