Nature and Whale Watching Tours: Where the Atlantic Ocean meets the cliffs of Chebucto Head at the mouth of Halifax Harbour the waters are rich with sea and wildlife. Guests have the opportunity to view minke whales, fin whales, dolphins, seals, tuna, sunfish, and a variety of seabirds. Our experienced naturalists provide visitors with information on the history and sights of the Harbour as well as the wildlife we generally see in the area on this 2 1/2 hour cruise. Our Captain and crew will further enchant you by pulling up a lobster trap and feeding the birds. Harbour Queen I Narrated Harbour Tour: Join us aboard the Harbour Queen I for an interesting and informative journey through Halifax Harbour. Guests will experience the rich and dramatic history of this North Atlantic Port beginning with its settlement through to current day. Your guide will highlight significant landmarks, a wide variety of vessels, and charm you with traditional folklore. Dinner Cruise: Step aboard the Harbour Queen I for a unique and unforgettable dining experience. Guests will receive a delicious buffet dinner and two-hour cruise along the beautiful and picturesque harbourside. Your friendly and informative guides for the evening will point out major sights and landmarks as you enjoy your meal. Corona Party Cruise: Experience Halifax at night while you dance and party with friends aboard the Harbour Queen I. Guests will spend two and a half hours cruising the waters of Halifax harbour while enjoying music from our house band and beverages from our fully licensed cash bar. Peggy’s Cove Express Peggy’s Cove Express Run: A one of a kind tour from Halifax to Peggy’s Cove. By boat, guests will learn the history of the places you travel past and information on the wildlife generally seen in the area. Once in Peggy’s Cove guests will be treated to a steaming bowl of maritime seafood chowder and a guided walking tour of the Cove. Evening Whale Watch: On this tour our boat travels out of the Halifax Harbor in search of whales, dolphins, seals, porpoises and other local marine and bird life. This tour is fully narrated by our informative and knowledgeable crew members and includes a live lobster pull. Theodore Tugboat Big Harbour Tour: Take part in one of Theodore Tugboat’s adventures on the Big Harbour. Designed with children in mind, the one hour Big Harbour Tour informs and entertains, bringing the sights and sounds of an actual working harbour to life. Harbour Hopper Harbour Hopper Tour: Travel the streets of downtown Halifax aboard the Harbour Hopper. Visit historical points of interest, like Citadel Hill, Public Gardens, and Government House. Learn fun facts and stories about the area, and discover where all the best restaurants and stores are in the downtown core. Then splash into Halifax Harbour for a one of a kind view of Halifax’s naval fleet and our spectacular waterfront all while your guide entertains you with history and Halifax highlights. Passengers will learn about the Halifax Explosion, Halifax’s past and current role as a major port city, and interesting anecdotes. These fun-filled 55 minute amphibious tours depart daily starting at 9:00am conditions permitting. |
